With the perfect weather forecast this weekend in Ohio being in the 70s, It is perfect weather for some canine dog sports. Get out and play some with your K9 to get some of their pent up energy from the winter cold! Performance Dogs of Ohio recommend doing short training sessions with your dog when trying to teach them any new sport. No more than 5 – 10 minute session and then allow the dog to rest is the perfect recipe for a successful dog training activity. This will help build the drive for Disc, Frisbee or any toy. Always want to keep them wanting more is our philosophy. When you keep sessions short you have the best chance at having a positive experience. Also make sure to end your training session on a positive note and let the dog win that game of tug! To get the remaining energy out we recommend walks or running but make K9 sports their favorite activity! This is what it is all about. It’s Go Time!
